This policy outlines our procedures for returns, refunds, and shipping expectations to ensure a transparent and fair process for all our customers.
1. Shipping & Delivery Expectations
We strive to get your products to you as quickly and safely as possible. Please note the following timelines regarding your order:
- Order Processing Time: All orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or public holidays.
- Shipping Timelines (Transit): Once your order has been handed over to our logistics partners, the following estimated delivery times apply:
- Major Metropolitan Areas (Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha): 2–3 business days.
- Regional Areas: 3–5 business days.
- Remote/Outlying Areas: 5–7 business days.
- Delivery Tracking: Once your order has shipped, you will receive a Shipping Confirmation email containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.
- Delays: While we aim for prompt delivery, please note that external factors such as extreme weather, logistical strikes, or heavy seasonal volumes (e.g., Black Friday) may impact these timelines. We appreciate your patience in these rare instances.
2. Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:
- Return Window: You must notify us of your intent to return the item within 30 days of the delivery date.
- Item Condition: The item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and must be in its original, undamaged packaging.
- Proof of Purchase: A receipt or proof of purchase is required to complete your return.
- Safety Seals: For electronic metering equipment, any "Warranty Void if Removed" or "Security Seals" must be intact. Items that have been installed, tampered with, or altered are not eligible for a return.
3. Logistics & Packaging Requirements (Critical)
As we utilize specialized logistics teams for the safe transport of sensitive metering equipment, our return process is governed by strict handling requirements.
- Original Packaging: Our logistics providers require that items be returned in their original manufacturer’s packaging. This includes all internal padding, inserts, and manuals.
- Outer Protection: When returning an item, the original product box must be placed inside a secondary, sturdy shipping box. Do not stick shipping labels or tape directly onto the product's original box, as this renders the item "non-resellable" and may invalidate your refund.
- Logistics Inspection: Our logistics team reserves the right to refuse collection if the parcel is not packaged sufficiently to withstand the rigors of transit.
4. Damaged or Defective Items
If your product arrives damaged or is found to be defective out of the box:
- Immediate Notification: You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
- Required Documentation: To facilitate an insurance claim with our logistics partner, we require:
- Clear photographs of the outer shipping box (before opening).
- Photographs of the internal packaging.
- Photographs of the damage to the actual product.
- Resolution: Once the damage is verified, we will arrange for a collection at no cost to you and provide either a replacement or a full refund.
5. The Refund Process
- Logging a Return: Contact our support team via our website or email to initiate the return.
- Collection: We will arrange for our logistics team to collect the parcel from your specified address. Please ensure someone is available at the time of collection.
- Inspection: Once your return is received and inspected at our warehouse, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund based on the condition of the item and its packaging.
- Approval: If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7–14 business days.
6. Return Shipping Costs
- Non-Defective Returns: If you are returning an item because you changed your mind or ordered the wrong model, you will be responsible for the cost of the return shipping and any original shipping fees (which are non-refundable).
- Defective/Incorrect Items: If the return is a result of our error or a confirmed product defect, we will cover all shipping costs.
7. Non-Returnable Items
Certain items cannot be returned:
- Custom-programmed meters or software-specific hardware.
- Items on clearance or "final sale."
